Helping Mary to live with arthritis

Mary suffers from arthritic hands.  She has been finding many everyday tasks increasingly difficult much to her annoyance.  Things like sewing buttons back onto blouses and sometimes cooking.

She contacted Cura Care following a recommendation from a friend who has used us.  Mary asked for someone to come round to do her housework, occasionally cook her a meal and keep her company.  However, she was adamant that she wanted the same carer continuously.  Mary had previously used a different home care agency that alternated carers regularly and often sent her people who she had communication difficulties with.  We delved deeper into the type of carer she wanted and did not want and made sure we assigned someone that met her requirements.

Mary has formed a good bond with Fiona, her carer, and says she is glad she switched to Cura Care on the grounds that we listened to what she wanted and made sure we delivered it.
